Drivephaze starts season with a Bang!
The 2012 Track and Field season got under over the weekend
around the country as there were a few early indoor meets on the docket
nation-wide.
The Drivephaze Track Club took part in in two meets in the state of
Minnesota. Three members were able to exceed the All-American standard
for events.
Saturday, at the Pre-season open(College/Open) in Mankato, Charles Johnson
took second place overall in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.38.
Team member Will Crawford ran a time of 7.58 in the 60 meter dash. Both
times best the All-American standard for those events in the 40-44 age
group.

Sunday, at the Charities Challenge indoor meet in Arden Hills, Jeff
Mack exceeded the All-American standard for the 60 meter dash for the
35-39 age group with a time of 7.23. Anthony Harris took home 1st place
in the 400 meter dash in the 40-44 age group with a time of 59.00. The
team also ran two relays(4x200 and 4x400) over the weekend.

Also on Sunday in Winter Haven, FL, team member Wayne Redwood also got
his 2012 season off to good start running 65 seconds in the 400 meter
dash at the Florida Senior Games Championships.
